Spectacle Lenses
When buying spectacles the lenses you choose play a huge part in the final outcome. A common mistake people often make when buying eyeglasses is not spending enough time considering their choices of eyeglass lens materials, designs, and coatings.
There are many factors to consider when selecting lenses. Our optometrists and staff have many years of experience in helping our clients to get the right lenses for the right job. There are many options when it comes to features, benefits, and price. Your optometrist will make a recommendation based on your eye examination, and this is very much like a doctor’s prescription. There are very good reasons for recommending a particular lens and following the recommendation will generally get the best result.
Because we’re an Independent Optometrist, we help choose the best lens for you, regardless of which lab makes the lenses. We offer Hoya, Essilor, Zeiss, Rodenstock and Opticare lenses and all our lenses have a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty on them.
Lens thickness is determined in part by the size and style of the frame you choose. For thinner lenses, choose smaller, round, or oval frames. Also, plastic frames hide edge thickness better. Our Optical Dispensers will advise on the most suitable frame for your specific prescription.
